Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Cortex. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. We've kept them as plain as we can.

1. Your knowledge is yours

You retain all rights to the content in your brains. Cortex stores and processes it to provide the service, and — on enterprise plans — can mirror a copy to a repository you control. You can export at any time.

2. Acceptable use

Don't use Cortex to store unlawful content, or to attempt to disrupt the service for others. Agent activity is subject to the same rules as human activity in your workspace.

3. AI processing

When you connect your own AI keys, requests are sent to that provider under their terms. When you use metered tokens, we process requests on your behalf and never train on your content.

4. Approvals & changes

Changes to protected content require human approval. You are responsible for reviewing proposals before approving them.
